Seasonal Calendar
A Seasonal Calendar of a rural community in West Bengal (India) is included in this blog. This was carried out a few years ago during a Participatory Project Management (PPM) workshop in that location. The Seasonal Calendar was developed using a variant of the Ten Seed Technique (TST) ranking tool, but this time involving a couple of dozen village women using in effect a ‘Twenty Seed Technique (TwST)’ to brainstorm and score monthly variations of the following throughout the year.
- Rainfall
- Water Sources & Availability
- Agricultural Labour
- Sickness
- Food Availability
- Money In
- Money Out
- Labour at Home
- Other Labour
