Our online accredited PDRM program commences on the 24th July 2023.  Topic 1 focuses on four key DRM diagrams and issues, as well discussions on the importance of relevant maps and infographics.  The four illustrations are the Disaster Risk Management Cycle (DRMC), the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) diagram, the DRM Planning diagram, and the Project Management Cycle (PMC).  There are fast and show hazard variations of the DRMC & DRR.  Examples of these diagrams relating to bushfire work in Australia; the earlier (2015 not 2021) volcanic eruption in Tonga, and Covid-19 are also included. Maps include those illustrating the 2020 Australia bushfires, Vanuatu hazards, The PNG Aitape earthquake/tsunami, Laos-related Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) initiatives, Syrian stakeholder control from 2015-2018, and the political/military & humanitarian picture in Ukraine in 2022.
