Your thoughts and comments on the usefulness of the PDD> How does this compare to others models you might use in project management?
I don’t have any experience in the Project Design Document but the use of PDD would be important for increasing the monitoring and evaluation of projects success. It would help with working in the future on other projects as they could be used as resources and it also would be very useful in keeping organisations accountable and transparent.
Thanks for your thoughts here, Brianna. When we inytroduce the PDD on this Wednesday’s teaching session, hopefully this will highlight the usefulness of this. The Bushfire PDD (although a bit long) is actually quite a good example of capturing all the key elements of a project. Identifying, and then measuring, objectives (Goal/Purpose/Outputs) is always one of thre biggest challenges.
