DRMC Covid-19
As part of its training, TorqAid has developed four key diagrams which help describe and explain disasters. These are the Disaster Risk Management Cycle (DRMC), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) diagram, Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Planning diagram, and the Project Management Cycle (PMC).
Following the Coronavirus pandemic, TorqAid has modified the DRMC to reflect some of the particular challenges of Covid-19. A jpeg version of this modified DRMC can be accessed here.
DownloadThe TorqAid Director presented a paper at the July 2021 Australian & New Zealand Disaster Management (ANZDMC) conference in the Gold Coast, Queensland. This included putting humanitarian work into the context of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS); providing an overview of the four key diagrams; and then applying the DRMC to both the 2019/2020 Australian bushfires, and, separately, to the current global Covid-19 pandemic. Follow the link here for a modified version of this paper.
